The solution

wwwarcelona completely redesigned Avinent’s web presence, from the visual concept to the final implementation. The project combined a very elaborate and particular design —created in Figma— with a custom WordPress implementation that allowed the Avinent internal team to manage and update the content autonomously. The result is a website that breaks the limits of what is usually associated with WordPress, demonstrating that the tool, well used, can respond to the visual and functional standards of an international company.

Definition of the challenge

Avinent is a company in the dental implantology sector with an international presence and very demanding brand standards. The challenge was clear: its website was not up to its market position or the quality of its product. A profound redesign was needed that reflected the rigour, innovation and credibility of the brand, and at the same time was implementable in WordPress to guarantee the management autonomy of the internal team. The starting point was a very particular and ambitious design, and the challenge was to make it a reality without losing a millimeter of its essence.

Product strategy and functional design

Design is the main protagonist of this project. Working in depth with Figma, a particular and differential visual identity was created, far removed from standard templates. Transferring this design to WordPress was a considerable challenge: to ensure that every visual detail, every animation and every interaction was exactly as it was defined in Figma, while respecting the needs of a company the size of Avinent and the autonomous management capacity of its internal team.

Technical Architecture, Integrations, and Performance

The platform was developed entirely with WordPress, but with a very high level of customization. Large companies like Avinent often have very specific requirements – complex content structures, corporate integrations, internal approval flows – that make getting there with WordPress a real technical challenge. This project is a clear example of what can be achieved with WordPress when working rigorously: a product of high visual and technical quality, which the internal team can manage autonomously.

Working in line with Avinent’s internal team was an essential part of the project. Large companies have very specific processes, validations and requirements that need to be integrated into the development flow. wwwarcelona adapted its methodology to work side by side with internal teams, ensuring that every technical and design decision was aligned with Avinent’s corporate standards. The result is a website that demonstrates how far WordPress can take when working with demand and criteria.

Market launch and validation

Social media management has been one of the growth drivers of Lastplaces: thousands of followers that have become the main channel for attracting customers. The combination of high-quality visual content, storytelling of the routes and a consistent presence on the networks has generated a loyal and very active community. In addition, a newsletter was integrated to keep in touch with interested users, turning each subscriber into a qualified lead for future expeditions.
