However, there was always a brake, whether it was due to limited resources, lack of training or simply lack of knowledge of where to start. <\/p><p>As I worked with companies from very different sectors, I realized that the <strong>digitization of SMEs<\/strong> is not just a fashion concept. It is really a leap in survival and growth that will make a difference between now and 2026. <\/p><p>In addition, as the technological pace is getting faster and faster, many companies ask me how they can avoid being left behind. However, there is still a noticeable difference between companies that have made a clear commitment to technology and those that have only made superficial moves. There are still outdated websites, manual management, lack of integration and time- and money-consuming processes.  <\/p><p>However, I have also seen very positive cases. Small companies that have <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwarcelona.com\/en\/crms\/\">implemented CRM<\/a>, automation systems and advanced sales tools. And, thanks to this, they have multiplied efficiency and results.  <\/p><p>If I had to summarize the current state, I would say that:<\/p><ul><li>Catalan companies are aware that they need to digitalise.<\/li><li>There is still a long distance between knowing it and doing it.<\/li><li>2026 will be a turning point for consolidating and professionalizing processes.<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p><p>This is a great time to review systems, as many solutions have become more affordable and more integratable.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5494ab5 e-flex e-con-boxed elementor-invisible e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5494ab5\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;animation&quot;:&quot;fadeIn&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18a5055 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"18a5055\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The main challenges I have detected<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b570ca e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"1b570ca\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5951d80 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5951d80\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"2827\" data-end=\"2965\">Despite the advances, digitization brings difficulties. Below I share the challenges that I most often encounter when working with SMEs. <\/p><h3 data-start=\"2967\" data-end=\"3005\">1. Lack of global strategy<\/h3><p data-start=\"3006\" data-end=\"3220\">Many companies do digital actions at random. Sometimes they hire a website, then a network manager, and later a CRM without thinking about how it all fits together. This fragmented approach hinders progress.  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"3222\" data-end=\"3273\">2. Inspecific or non-existent integrations<\/h3><p data-start=\"3274\" data-end=\"3478\">I often see companies managing data in Excel, on an invoicing platform, and on an outdated ERP. Also, these tools don&#8217;t talk to each other. This leads to errors, duplications, and wasted time.  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"3480\" data-end=\"3518\">3. Lack of in-house training<\/h3><p data-start=\"3519\" data-end=\"3684\">Technology does not work alone. Even if we install powerful tools, if the team does not understand them, they will not use them. This point greatly slows down the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwarcelona.com\/consultoria\/\"><strong data-start=\"3659\" data-end=\"3683\">digitization of SMEs<\/strong><\/a>.  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"3686\" data-end=\"3719\">4. Tight budgets<\/h3><p data-start=\"3720\" data-end=\"3878\">There is still a fear of investing in technology. However, I have seen that companies that bet on a minimum of digitization obtain a clear and measurable return. <\/p><h3 data-start=\"3880\" data-end=\"3913\">5. Resistance to change<\/h3><p data-start=\"3914\" data-end=\"4105\">Sometimes, the problem is not technical. It is cultural. And this is the biggest challenge. Process automation<\/h3><p data-start=\"4416\" data-end=\"4695\">When a company automates repetitive tasks, it frees up time to focus on sales and growth. And, as I move forward with new projects, I see that many companies can automate up to 40% of internal processes. This change is key to the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwarcelona.com\/consultoria\/\"><strong data-start=\"4670\" data-end=\"4694\">digitalization of SMEs<\/strong>.<\/a>  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"4697\" data-end=\"4742\">2. Funding Opportunities<\/h3><p data-start=\"5173\" data-end=\"5341\">Although there have been ups and downs, we continue to have aid programs that facilitate digitization.
